Western Baltija Shipbuilding builds partially equipped hulls of patrol vessels for the German market

Kylio padejimo ceremonija smallWestern Baltija Shipbuilding (WBS) has signed a contract with the German company Fassmer GmbH for the building of hulls of two coast guard patrol vessels and their partial outfitting, and continues the works and construction of the hull of the second vessel is underway. The start of the construction works of the latter vessel was marked with the so-called Keel laying ceremony, which was attended by representatives from both Fassmer and the end-client of the project, the heads of the German Federal Police.

Western Baltija Shipbuilding expands relations and complements orders portfolio

hibridinid keltas VBLS 2017 smallWestern Baltija Shipbuilding (WBS) signed a contract on the production of the hull blocks for the largest hybrid ferry in the world with the Norwegian company Ulstein Verft AS in spring and is already commencing first steel cutting operations. The RoPax ferry, which will be launched in the summer of 2019 and will accommodate about 2,000 passengers and as many as 500 vehicles, will travel the route of Norway–Sweden–Norway.

Seventh barge transferred to the Norwegian company OCEA

Barza Ocea septintaWestern Baltija Shipbuilding has continued to perform shipbuilding work for the Norwegian company, OCEA. At present, the seventh barge has already been completed and set afloat. All the barges are built in accordance with the standards, designs and technical parameters approved by OCEA.

barza150708Western Baltija Shipbuilding (WBS) has continued its shipbuilding work for the Norwegian company, OCEA. Currently, a sixth barge has already been completed and set sail. All the barges (there are eight of them in total) are built according the standards, designs and technical parameters approved by the OCEA Company. Their purpose is fish feeding and nutrition in fish breeding farms. The barges are sailed to certain enclosed pools in the sea where the fish being bred swim, are anchored there, and the calculated quantity of fish food required is fed from them to the fish by special pipelines and hoses. According to Mr. Ilja Andrusenko, leading Project Manager of WBS, every project is individually specific. These barges are exceptional because particularly important attention is paid to the internal pipeline through which the fish food is given to the fish.

Western Baltija Shipbuilding has built a multi-purpose cargo ship

Anette wwwWestern Baltija Shipbuilding - a part of Western Shipyard which in its turn belongs to the biggest Estonian concern BLRT Grupp has finished a turnkey project and delivered a multi-purpose cargo vessel Anetta.

According to Fjodor Berman, the Chairman of the Board of BLRT Grupp, building vessels from scratch, starting from the elaboration of a vessel’s concept and ending with its launching, has been the ultimate goal of the concern all these years. Multi-purpose cargo vessel Anetta is the second such purpose turnkey delivery of new build vessel for Western Baltija Shipbuilding.
