Western Baltija Shipbuilding (WBS) has continued its shipbuilding work for the Norwegian company, OCEA. Currently, a sixth barge has already been completed and set sail. All the barges (there are eight of them in total) are built according the standards, designs and technical parameters approved by the OCEA Company. Their purpose is fish feeding and nutrition in fish breeding farms. The barges are sailed to certain enclosed pools in the sea where the fish being bred swim, are anchored there, and the calculated quantity of fish food required is fed from them to the fish by special pipelines and hoses. According to Mr. Ilja Andrusenko, leading Project Manager of WBS, every project is individually specific. These barges are exceptional because particularly important attention is paid to the internal pipeline through which the fish food is given to the fish.
